In the traditions of Slow Food USA and Slow Food International, the Houston Convivium celebrates the enjoyment of wholesome food, fine beverages, and good company.

We are dedicated to the promotion of local producers, artisans, restaurants, and other purveyors and promoters of culinary traditions of all cultures within our community, and of course, to living a slower and more harmonious rhythm of life.

 SPOTLIGHT

Slow Food Houston is teaming up with Recipe for Success  in an effort to further bring the message of healthy eating into the schools.  Watch for Evites coming to your email for special events that will interest Slow Food members and friends.

 

The Blueberry Bash will be held at El Meson on Sunday June 29th.  Watch your email for details.  Blueberry picking will be on Saturday June 21st at Moorhead's Blueberry Farm.  Bring the family and make a picnic of it!

Francesco Bertone of Cuneo, Italy wrote to tell us that while visiting Austin last year he went to a restaurant in Georgetown called Wildfire and had a fantastic dinner.
